If you are looking into ways to conceive quickly, you are most likely just starting to try and fall pregnant, or have been struggling for a while. It is not the simplest thing in the world to fall pregnant and despite common perceptions, having a lot of sex won't mean a quick conception. Truth be told, a woman is only fertile a couple of days each month, and even on these days there is only a twenty five percent chance of falling pregnant. If you are searching for ways to help you fall pregnant, you may be struggling with infertility or be only starting to try for a baby. It is not the simplest thing in the world to fall pregnant and despite common perceptions, having a lot of sex won't mean a quick conception. To be honest females only have around four or five days each month that are fertile days and having intercourse on those days still only has a 25% chance of conception. So really the yearly fertile windows only happen twelve times.

Putting this in perspective means that you can get clever about trying for a baby and instead of sex all the time, think of sex at the right time. Those who are asking 'how can I get pregnant fast?' need to pay attention to timing, it's a crucial factor. It may be surprising to learn that not many women get this right. The main reason is because so many hold to the common misconception that they ovulate on the 14th day of their menstrual cycle. If everyone had a perfect twenty eight day cycle and ovulated right in the middle, then maybe this would be true. In reality every woman's cycle is different, and ovulation can vary from month to month as well.

There is such a huge variance, so its important to know your own cycle and knowing when ovulation occurs is the key to falling pregnant fast. You must keep in mind that your ovulation period can change from month to month, so to get pregnant quickly keeping constant track of your cycle is important.

There are various methods for checking ovulation. A basal body temperature chart is one of the most common ways. Before getting out of bed take your temperature with a basal body thermometer and keep a record of the results. You can see when you are ovulating because your chart will register a slight rise in temperature on the days of ovulation, so you can notice a pattern developing. The temperature shift is an indication of ovulation, and once you have a good idea of the time that this occurs in the month then you can plan your days of intercourse accordingly.

The best chances of falling pregnant is to have sperm waiting for your egg. This of course is done by having intercourse prior to ovulation. Sperm live for about three or five days inside a woman, but an eggs life is only approximately one or two days. To ensure there are sperm waiting try to have intercourse a couple of days before ovulation is due, it's a critical factor in making your chances of pregnancy better.

You can also purchase ovulation kits that can tell when ovulation is going to happen. One example is the use of a mini microscope to track changes in hormones through saliva patterns.

You simply wipe a small amount of saliva onto the viewer each morning and check the pattern through the eyepiece. The pattern of the saliva (or the hormones in your saliva) will be distinctly different around 36 hours to ovulation and will stay different till your hormones are back to normal after ovulation has occurred (around three to five days). Having intercourse on the days when the pattern has changed will increase your chances of successful conception - this method is also used as a contraceptive, as women can abstain from sex on these days to decrease their chances of pregnancy.

Body awareness is crucial. There are plenty of other natural ways to supplement your fertility as well, so if you are having trouble conceiving, don't rush into hormonal therapies or IVF, consider all the natural options available and there will surely be something to help you with your dream of parenthood.
